Full College Experience
Sleep late and still make it to class on time! Bobcat Villas South and West, EGSC’s convenient on-campus apartments on the Swainsboro campus, feature four-bedroom, two-bath suites with a common living area and full kitchen. A small number of apartments have been modified to offer a five-bedroom option. Each suite is fully furnished with modular furniture, cable, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Each private bedroom is furnished with a bed, desk, and chair. Ceiling fans in living room and each bedroom, floor tile throughout, computer lab and complementary laundry room inside complex with an app so you can see when your clothes are finished! Residents also enjoy use of the L.C. “Shot” and Jean Strange Clubhouse directly behind Bobcat Villas for relaxing, exercising, playing games and studying.
Game Room/Amenities
The Jean and L.C. “Shot” Strange clubhouse provides a game room with table tennis, pool, arcade-style basketball and more! The other half of the game room features yoga and workout equipment for residents, and the fitness center is just across the pond, featuring an extensive array of machines and weights for all your fitness needs!
Additional Amenities
You are connected! Wireless internet is available throughout Bobcat Villas South and West, basic cable television service upon request, all utilities included, mail service and live-in management.
24/7 Security: Direct link to on-campus police department (Public Safety), state-of-the-art camera surveillance, access-card entry to complex and apartment, individual key entry to bedroom.
Community Spaces
The Jean and L.C. "Shot" Strange Clubhouse is accessible to residents and their guests. This facility has a game room, four big-screen TVs, a computer lab area, and a multi-purpose room with kitchen. This building is available to residential students and their guests only.
Each floor of our residence halls also offers community hang out space, where you can hang out with your friends without having to sequester yourself in your room! Play video games on one of the provided communal televisions, set up board games or host study groups in one of our comfortable seating areas, or just hang out and unwind from a long day of classes!
On-site Laundry
Bobcat Villas-South has one laundry room on the first floor; Bobcat Villas-West has one laundry room on the second floor and another on the third floor. Students do have to provide their own laundry detergent, etc., but will not be charged to use the equipment.
Don’t have time to hang out with your laundry while it is cycling? Set up alerts on your phone and the machine will let you know when your laundry is done. Don’t miss studying in the comfort of your room or one of the study labs because those towels just won’t dry!
Learning Communities
Living-learning environments are part of residence life at Bobcat Villas and add to the overall success of students who live on campus. Each community is unique and special, and students are encouraged to explore and take advantage of the support and services offered in these communities.
Living-Learning Communities Currently Available
(Returning Residential Students Only - Automatic Placement)
Any returning housing student will be assigned to the Upper-Class Experience (UCE)
community located in Bobcat Villas West. This community will be located on the first,
second, and third floor odd side of Bobcat Villas West. Benefits include being housed
with other returning students, having access to 2 laundry facilities in building,
having priority access to the computer lab and work room space. Most rooms in the
UCE are offered at a slightly lower cost than traditional 4-bedroom units.
(New Residential Students Only - Automatic Placement)
All new first-year students will be assigned to the first-year experience living-learning
community in Bobcat Villas South. There you will have your own computer lab with printing
capabilities, as well as access to the Director of Academic Support Services whose
primary role is ensuring the academic success of our residential students. Living
with other first-year students is a great way to form long lasting friendships with
students going through similar experiences. You will share CATS classes together and
be provided opportunities to socialize in a safe and secure environment.

As the only students with a requirement to live in campus housing, we have reserved
the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor even side of Bobcat Villas West for our Bobcat student
athletes. Only recruited, official members of athletic teams are permitted to live
in these communities.
(Members of the Chess Club)
Any member of the chess club is eligible to reside together in this Residential Interest
Community (RIC) in Bobcat Villas South. If you are interested in participating in

(Members of the Performing Arts Club and Recipients of the Arts Scholarship)
